American Idle

I don't watch American Idol so I am probably not the best equipped to comment, not that I will let that stop me. I have seen it occasionally, and I have read the comments that our media are saying are objectionable. I don't think they are any worse than they used to be, I just think that what people are realizing that what they used to think was funny, just isn't. Used to be people laughed at the acerbic comments, because they were usually justified to some extent, due to the horribleness of the acts that were shown. The criticism may be justified but not the personal nature of the attacks, and people realize that putting others down for the amusement of the viewing audience isn't really entertainment.
